The song that made me take a break
Like most of my vocal projects, this song started off as an instrumental that I would have been content with just being an instrumental. The thing about making instrumentals is that people don't really like listening to them just as instrumentals, and I really want to put my music out there. Sooo I tried to write some shit to it, but nothing was sticking. Everything sounded corny and lame. At this point (April 2025), I had a lot of stuff on my chest. I was getting tired of social media, and the effect that it had on dating and culture. I gave up on trying to pursue a crush. I had just dropped a risky single that didn't feel like it was leaving outside of the sphere of my core audience. I just felt like a mess, and with all that I can't even write a damn song. So.....I put the music down, I put the phone down, and I just went silent.
A few months went by, and I still had nothing. Then, later on that year, the song hit me! I went and wrote to it, and loved what I wrote. Buuuuut now I was facing a bigger problem. I was struggling with mixing and mastering it to sound how I wanted it to sound. This fuckin song was almost 90 tracks big, making it the largest song file I ever worked on. At this point I'm dealing with a skill issue, pressure of having lost the little momentum I had on social media, and the pressures of every day life. The whole time, I'd been living up to the lyrics that I wrote and I didn't even know it. ​
This song broke me, and built me back up...
This song was by far the hardest song for me to master; and to be honest, I don't even know if it's the best it could be, but I've mastered this song to the best of my abilities. After all, it does have over 30 different mixes.
